Keith Enevoldsen, FNAEA
Keith Enevoldsen was born in Guernsey and educated at Elizabeth College. Having originally worked for the Civil Service, he entered into Guernsey's property market as an Open Market negotiator in the eighties. After ten very successful years he found a fresh challenge in the world of retail finance - selling money! However, he missed the cut and thrust of the property market and joined Martel Maides in 2001 as a Local Market negotiator; becoming the department manager in 2003 and a Director of the Company in 2004. A fully qualified Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents, Keith brings a formidable mix of enthusiasm, experience and professionalism which clients and applicants expect from Guernsey's leading property agency. Also a qualified Auctioneer, Keith can sometimes be found selling chattels and furniture on Thursday afternoons at our Auction Rooms. He tries to keep some spare time for boating, sea fishing and any competitive sport he can find!
With an honours degree in Fine Art, Richard’s early career path rather incongruously led him to a ten year stint in shellfish farming and through a period in property renovation before arriving at Martel Maides. He has been one of the island’s leading negotiators specialising in Open Market sales for over 25 years has been privileged to sell many of the Island’s finest homes - quite often, more than once! There's not much about the intracacies of the Open Market that he doesn't know. Richard is also a director of Martel Maides Auctions and a founding member of the Guernsey Property Forum.
Terry Gardiner, MRICS
Terry was born in London but was raised in the United Arab Emirates. Initially educated in Abu Dhabi’s sunshine, it was a shock when he was sent to secondary school at Stonyhurst College in the depths of Lancashire. Terry read Real Estate Management at Oxford Brookes University then worked with the Island Development Committee in Guernsey before returning to London. He qualified as a chartered surveyor at Cluttons in the West End and during his several years in London also worked with DTZ in their Curzon Street office. He has experience in both residential and commercial property and returned to Guernsey in 2008 to join Martel Maides Commercial. Terry deals in all aspects of commercial property and is an RICS Registered Valuer.
Before finding her true vocation in property, Claire’s career path took her through a number of different customer facing roles both on and off the island. Having joined Martel Maides in 1999 and worked through various departments, she is now rapidly establishing a reputation in residential sales for unrivalled customer service and has successfully found homes for an ever increasing number of very satisfied clients.
Senior Local Market Sales Consultant
Esther was born and educated locally and, after spending time travelling around the world, regards Guernsey as the most beautiful and unique place to live. Having spent most of her career working in various areas of the finance sector, she joined Martel Maides in 2008 to turn her hobby of finding houses for friends into a full-time job.

Celena is based on reception at Martel Maides and is the secretary for the Local Market, Open Market and Commercial Department. She has worked at Martel Maides since July 2001, following a change of career after having worked in the finance sector for twelve years. Amelia was born and raised in Guernsey, completing a BTEC diploma in Art and Design at the College of Further Education, before going to Brighton University to study fashion and business studies. She then returned to the Island where she worked at Blue Islands for two and a half years, becoming a senior member of their cabin crew. Amelia is based on our reception desk, meeting and greeting clients, managing our busy diary and organising all of our advertising. When she’s not doing this she is a regular gym goer and loves travelling to far-flung places but particularly enjoys holidaying in Ibiza!
Director, Martel Maides Auctions
James joined Martel Maides Auctions as a Director in January 2010, after two years acting as a consultant for the firm. He has twenty years experience within the international auctioneering and antiques field, joining Bonhams after leaving Oxford University in 1993 and progressing to Sothebys in 1998, heading the Toy Department at both firms. This period was followed by six years as an independent antiques dealer with outlets in the UK, USA and online, specialising in collectable toys and antique furniture. In addition to running the Fine Art sale division of the company, he is responsible for Martel Maides Auctions' formal valuation services for Insurance, Probate and Family Division. He is also a keen collector himself - of Bakelite and other early plastics - and is one of Martel Maides' team of resident petrol heads, with the Fine Art sale calendar carefully planned around events at Goodwood, the Le Mans 24 Hours and the British GP.
Head Porter, Martel Maides Auctions
Michael was born in Guernsey and educated at Notre Dame du Rosaire and St Josephs Schools. On leaving school Michael served five years as an apprentice panel beater at Bougourd Bros Guernsey, a career he stayed in for 20 years. Since leaving the garage trade he worked as a glazer and store manager before being lucky enough to combine his interests in antiques with a position as Head Porter at Martel Maides Auctions, which he has held for the last 10 years.
Auction Administrator, Martel Maides Auctions
After completing her Education at St Denis School for Girls in Edinburgh and Aberdeen College of Commerce, Lynda started work at an Employment Agency where, after many exams and a lot of training, she managed the temporary jobs section. Lynda later worked in the hospitality industry where she was trained in all aspects of the business and worked for several different establishments, eventually gaining sufficient experience to run two restaurants in Aberdeen. Lynda came to Guernsey to continue working in hospitality and then ventured into the world of trust and company administration, met the man of her dreams, and has been here ever since! For the past ten years she has been with Martel Maides Auctions as Auction Administrator and her responsibilities include, in order of difficulty, keeping her colleagues in order and ensuring that every auction is run as smoothly and professionally as possible.
