Maybe a good time to reflect on the first half of the year. Very much better than 2016 as far as this office is concerned - and over the horizon and far away from the dark days of 2015! We suspect that the second half of the year may be a little slower overall in terms of numbers through the Greffe. Overall sales will remain generally robust and values appear stable at the present moment. Talk of higher interest rates appear to have been premature and lenders appear comfortable with local property values and continue to offer good mortgage products for those with decent deposits.

Despite the damp and windy end to July the Guernsey property market continues to push along happily. It's been a busy July but as usual in the holiday period the tempo has dropped in the last few days. Now that the schools are out, and there are holidays to be enjoyed the 'drive' in the market will tail off until the first week of September.
