The recent Q4 2016 States figures show a continuing drop in values, but our view is that values are flat. The stats show what has happened – not what is currently happening. Whether the slow erosion of values continues depends on confidence, availability of funding and performance of the local economy. Given the large amount of valuations and advice we are giving at the moment it would seem that there will be a substantial number of properties coming onto the market over the next few months which will keep the market active, but with little sign of values changing.

We’ve seen a high level of offers through our Local Market sales office in February with many being accepted, including two substantial £1m+ properties. Generally the market remains very active for sensibly priced properties.
